Spot gold and silver prices fell in the short term, with spot silver breaking below $79.

PANews reported on January 7th that spot gold fell $16 in the short term, currently trading at $4453 per ounce. Spot silver fell below $79 per ounce, down 2.81% on the day; New York silver futures also fell below $79 per ounce, down 2.64% on the day.
