The MIT graduates were charged with fraud and money laundering related to a 2023 Ethereum blockchain vulnerability that resulted in the theft of $25 million worth of digital assets. The brothers allegedly used the MEV bot to trick users into making transactions. Although they planned the scam for months, they reportedly profited $25 million in just 12 seconds.
