Meta removes deepfake ads after Jamie Lee Curtis speaks out

PANews reported on May 13 that according to Decrypt, Oscar-winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis publicly named Meta CEO Zuckerberg and demanded that the ad be removed because her image was used without permission in an AI-generated ad. The ad used her earlier interview video on MSNBC and used AI technology to tamper with her speech to promote an unauthorized product. Curtis condemned the move as damaging to her reputation, and Meta quickly removed the ad. Curtis also confirmed that the ad had been removed.
