PANews reported on March 10 that according to Cointelegraph, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is considering experimenting with blockchain and stablecoins in some of its functions. The department is responsible for supervising social security housing and has discussed the possibility of using blockchain to monitor grants. In addition, HUD has also discussed the idea of using stablecoins to pay HUD recipients, a trial that may first be conducted in one office of the department and then extended to other offices.
