PANews reported on January 23 that Makina, the official DeFi execution engine, announced that at 21:15 on January 22, MEV Builder returned funds according to the SEAL white hat safe harbor protocol and deducted a 10% bounty, returning approximately 920 ETH (out of a total of 1023 ETH), accounting for approximately 1299 ETH of the total stolen funds. The funds have been transferred to the recovery multisignature address 0xc22F…8AB9. The team is continuing to pursue the remaining funds and seeking to contact the RocketPool validator address 0x573D…910E, which received approximately 276 ETH.
Makina: The funds held by MEV Builder have been returned and transferred to a dedicated recovery account.
