PANews reported on January 25th, citing Cointelegraph, that the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has confirmed that World Liberty Financial's (WLF) application for a national trust bank license will undergo rigorous review under current regulatory standards. This comes in response to Senator Elizabeth Warren's request to suspend the review, after she raised concerns about US President Trump and his children being the founders of WLFI and the platform generating billions of dollars in "paper wealth" for the family. OCC Regulatory Officer Jonathan Gould emphasized that WLFI's application will be subject to rigorous evaluation like any other application.
OCC: WLFI banking license applications will be rigorously reviewed in accordance with current regulatory standards.
