The United States seized 145 domains and an undisclosed amount of cryptocurrency related to the BidenCash dark web market

PANews reported on June 5 that according to an announcement by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia on June 5, U.S. authorities have seized 145 domain names and an undisclosed amount of cryptocurrency related to the dark web market BidenCash. It is reported that BidenCash is accused of selling millions of stolen credit cards and personal data. Since its operation in 2022, BidenCash has sold more than 15 million stolen payment card information and earned more than $17 million.

In May this year, the United States destroyed several dark web drug trading platforms in the "Operation RapTor", arrested 270 people, and seized assets worth US$200 million, including a large amount of cryptocurrencies.

According to the TRM Labs 2025 Crypto Crime Report, the total revenue of darknet markets in 2024 will exceed $1.7 billion, a year-on-year increase. The report also pointed out that the Russian-speaking darknet market continues to dominate due to the low risk of local law enforcement.
