PANews reported on August 7th that according to on-chain analyst Yu Jin, a whale with a 75% win rate in four ETH trades narrowly avoided liquidation, forcing the liquidation of 14,000 ETH. At 2:00 AM, the ETH price reached a high of $3,698.8 on OKX, while the whale's 70,000 ETH short position was liquidated at $3,699. The whale then quickly withdrew funds from WhiteBIT to replenish margin, pushing the liquidation price up from $3,699 to $3,724.
The "whale with a 75% win rate in four ETH battles" was less than $1 away from liquidation of 14,000 ETH positions in the early morning.
