PANews reported on August 21st that Optimism has partnered with Flashbots to introduce fast, configurable, and verifiable transaction sorting capabilities to Superchain. This technology, developed by the Ethereum Sorting Pipeline team, aims to enhance the performance and customization capabilities of the OP Stack chain.

As of August 2025, Superchain accounts for over 60% of Ethereum's Layer 2 network transaction activity. This collaboration will enable builders on the OP Stack chain to achieve lower latency, higher fairness, and programmability through innovative sorting technology, while reducing costs and accelerating market launch.

Flashbots has previously achieved 200 millisecond confirmation times on chains such as Base and Unichain, and will be gradually extended to the OP mainnet and other chains in the future.
