Western Union has applied to register the WUUSD trademark.

PANews reported on October 30 that, according to CoinDesk, Western Union has applied to register the trademark WUUSD (Western Union US Dollar).

Previously, it was reported that Western Union planned to launch USDPT, a stablecoin built on the Solana blockchain, in 2026 .
