Li Chenggang: China and the United States have constructively discussed some solutions to properly address the concerns of both sides on relevant issues.

PANews reported on October 26th that according to Jinshi, Li Chenggang, China's International Trade Representative and Vice Minister of Commerce, stated that discussions between the two sides covered a wide range of topics, including export controls, a matter of mutual concern, the further extension of the suspension period for reciprocal tariffs, fentanyl tariffs and counter-narcotics cooperation, further trade expansion, and US Section 301 vessel charges. The two sides engaged in constructive discussions, with the US expressing a firm stance and China resolute in safeguarding its interests. After more than a day of intense discussions, the two sides constructively explored solutions to appropriately address mutual concerns and reached a preliminary consensus. The next step will be for each side to complete internal approval procedures.
