PANews reported on April 19 that according to Daily Hodl, Roman Golovchenko, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Belarus, announced in a statement that he plans to launch CBDC next year. The digital form of the Belarusian ruble will be fully circulated in the second half of 2026, and will support the free use of CBDC by enterprises, and the goal for government agencies and individuals is 2027.
