Binance applied for a MiCA license in Greece as the EU deadline approached.

PANews reported on January 23 that, according to Cointelegraph, Binance has submitted an application for a license under the EU's Crypto Asset Markets Regulation (MiCA) to the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission to meet the upcoming compliance deadline. Previously, on January 13, the French financial market regulator added Binance to its list of 90 registered companies that had not yet obtained a MiCA license, notifying these companies that they must obtain a license before the end of the transition period on June 30, or cease operations in July.

According to publicly available data from the European Securities and Markets Authority, Greece has not yet issued any MiCA licenses, while Germany and the Netherlands are leading in the number of licenses issued.
