PANews reported on November 25th that Hong Kong-listed company Newfire Technology (1611.HK) announced a plan to purchase up to US$5 million (approximately HK$39 million) worth of Bitcoin. In the first phase, it has purchased approximately 24.29 Bitcoins, totaling about US$2 million, at an average price of approximately US$82,338, completing nearly half of the planned amount. The company stated that because the relevant percentages are all below 5%, this transaction does not constitute a disclosable transaction under Chapter 14 of the Listing Rules, and will be disclosed as required by the rules in the future.
