A US youth gang attempted to rob a cryptocurrency anchor at gunpoint and failed, facing felony charges

PANews reported on March 17 that four teenagers were arrested and charged for allegedly violently breaking into the home of Kaitlyn "Amouranth" Siragusa, a well-known anchor and content creator, according to DL News. The attack occurred earlier this month and was allegedly intended to steal her cryptocurrency assets that she had previously disclosed online. Authorities have filed multiple felony charges against the four suspects, aged between 16 and 19, including aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and aggravated kidnapping.

According to law enforcement, three masked men broke into Siragusa's home in northwest Houston, confronted her in her bedroom and demanded she hand over her cryptocurrency. Siragusa told local media KHOU: "I thought I was going to die because they kept beating me. They kept asking me, 'Where's the cryptocurrency? Where's the cryptocurrency?'" During the confrontation, she was hit with the butt of a gun and forced to lead them to another building on the property, where her husband, Nick Lee, was. Nick Lee then fired multiple shots at the intruders, causing them to flee the scene before authorities arrived.

Police believe the attack was premeditated and directly related to past comments Siragusa made about her cryptocurrency holdings. Siragusa publicly displayed her cryptocurrency holdings in a social media post in November, showing that she held more than $20 million in Bitcoin and Ethereum in her Coinbase account. The post was accompanied by a scantily clad photo asking her followers whether they should sell or hold on.
