PANews reported on May 28 that according to CoinDesk, Dan Edwards, COO of the American fast food chain Steak n' Shake, said at the "Bitcoin 2025" conference that since the launch of Bitcoin payment on May 16, transaction processing fees have been 50% lower than credit card payments. One out of every 500 Bitcoin transactions in the world occurs in this restaurant.
Edwards pointed out that Bitcoin payment not only saves costs for merchants, but also provides customers with a new option parallel to traditional payment methods. The company also allows franchisees to purchase franchise rights with Bitcoin. Based on the successful payment experience, Steak n' Shake is exploring technological innovations such as robot taxis, smart chefs and drone delivery.
