El Salvador accelerates Bitcoin purchases, increasing holdings by about 1.6 BTC per day

PANews reported on February 18 that according to Spot On Chain monitoring, the Salvadoran government has significantly increased its Bitcoin purchases since December 22, 2024, and currently holds an average of about 1.6 BTC per day. The country has since purchased a total of 93.417 BTC at an average price of $98,579, with daily purchases ranging from 1 to 11 BTC.

As of now, El Salvador’s total Bitcoin holdings are 6,081 BTC, with a market value of approximately $579.9 million.
