Metaplanet executives: It would be a positive if Strategy preferred shares could be freely traded in the Japanese capital market

PANews reported on June 8 that Shinpei Okuno, head of capital strategy at Metaplanet, posted on the X platform that preferred stocks are an undeveloped area of Japan's capital market. Currently, there is almost no capital market for listed preferred stocks in Japan (perhaps only Ito En, SoftBank and Infronia). Shinpei Okuno added that the preferred stock strategy can attract a wide range of investors by providing financial products supported by Bitcoin. It would be a good thing if financial instruments such as Strategy's preferred stocks STRF/STRK/STRD can be freely traded in the Japanese capital market, because the greatest potential of companies adopting Bitcoin reserve strategies may be the ability to create fixed dividend products supported by Bitcoin.
