Roger Ver sent a video to Trump asking for help, saying he is facing up to 109 years in prison

PANews reported on January 26 that Roger Ver, known as "Bitcoin Jesus", posted on the X platform to seek help from Trump. He released a video saying: "I am the first person in the world to start investing in the Bitcoin ecosystem. But as I record this, this may be my last moment as a free man. Later tonight in Spain, I will most likely be in a Spanish prison and be escorted back to the United States to face up to 109 years in prison. Not because I have done anything wrong, but because of my rights protection actions in the field of cryptocurrency... I gave up my US citizenship because I knew that some US government agencies would continue to harass me because of my political views and past rights protection actions. This is one of the most difficult and painful decisions I have ever made... I want to keep most of my money in the United States, Trump, I need your help to help me win this lawsuit and let me go home..."

According to previous news , Roger Ver renounced his U.S. citizenship on February 4, 2014. After moving abroad, U.S. law required Roger Ver to submit a tax return to report the capital gains from the sale of his assets worldwide (including Bitcoin), and he was required to pay taxes on these capital gains. In May last year, Roger Ver was arrested in Spain and charged with mail fraud, tax evasion and filing false tax returns.
