PANews reported on January 28 that SSV DAO announced the launch of the "SSV 2.0" framework, which aims to promote the security and interoperability of the Ethereum ecosystem through technical support applications (bApps) based on Ethereum validators.

The SSV team said that bApps obtain security directly from Ethereum Layer 1 without relying on other tokens or heavy staking models, which is more in line with the security standards of the Ethereum ecosystem and reduces the cascading risks faced by validators. As part of the plan, SSV DAO proposed to transform SSV Network into bApp, upgrading it from a DVT (distributed validator technology)-driven staking infrastructure to a multi-dimensional network that supports economy-based.
