PANews reported on February 14 that according to Android Police, Google Gemini Advanced has launched an important update that allows users to recall past chat records and continue discussions, ask follow-up questions, and even summarize previous conversations without having to look through old records. This feature brings Gemini closer to ChatGPT and Claude AI, which already have continuous memory capabilities.
This update is currently available for Gemini Advanced subscribers in the Google One AI Premium plan. The new features make Gemini a memory-based conversation partner that can refer to past discussions, summarize previous chats, and continue long-term projects such as research notes or programming projects. In addition, Gemini will also provide transparency when referencing past conversations, indicating that it uses stored information.
Users can manage Gemini's memories feature, including reviewing and deleting stored conversations, setting how long chat history is saved, or disabling the feature through My Activity settings. This feature is expected to support more languages in the coming weeks and is planned to be expanded to Google Workspace Business and Enterprise customers.
