PANews reported on March 6 that according to The Block, Uniswap DAO has voted to continue Uniswap's "Delegate Reward Program" based on an approved proposal on the blockchain voting platform Tally. An additional $540,000 worth of the protocol's native token UNI has been reserved to fund the "third cycle" of the program. As the name suggests, the program is a compensation plan to improve the quality and participation of Uniswap governance through paid incentives. The program will distribute up to $6,000 worth of UNI tokens each month to the best-performing "representatives," who are individuals or entities granted the right to vote on behalf of other token holders. The governance vote was held from February 26 to March 4, 2025, and was passed with 47.51 million votes (99.45%) in favor. The proposal for the third cycle is currently in the "queue," and the specific execution date will be determined later, provided that it is not canceled during the time lock period.

StableLab first proposed the rewards program in February 2024 and implemented it in June after research by an eight-person working group. The latest proposal reads: "The first cycle was successful, and the 12 representatives selected maintained a 100% voting participation rate during this period. In addition, some new representatives joined the protocol due to the existence of incentives." The third cycle will expand the program to 15 representatives, who will be selected based on updated criteria and a new "points system" determined by "objective indicators." This includes the representative's voting participation history, proposal writing, and community participation. Representatives can earn up to $3,000 worth of UNI tokens per month by maintaining a proportional participation rate of at least 80% of proposal submissions.
