The U.S. Department of Justice insists that Google divest its Chrome browser and stop interfering with its AI investments

PANews reported on March 9 that according to Sina Finance, according to court documents, the US Department of Justice still requires Google to sell its web browser Chrome, but no longer requires it to divest its investment in artificial intelligence. This requirement was first made last year during Joe Biden's presidency, but during Trump's second term, the Department of Justice seems to be sticking to this plan.

The U.S. Department of Justice and 38 state attorneys general filed an antitrust lawsuit against Google, and Judge Amit P. Mehta ruled that Google maintained its monopoly in the online search field through illegal means. Google has said it will appeal the ruling and has also proposed an alternative proposal that it says will give partners more flexibility to address the concerns of Judge Mehta.
