Japanese Web3 game development company Mint Town completes a new round of financing of approximately US$4.75 million

PANews reported on March 11 that according to CoinDesk, Japanese Web3 game development company Mint Town announced that it has raised a total of 700 million yen (about 4.75 million US dollars) through a third-party private placement with the fund "X&KSK" established by Japanese football player Keisuke Honda as the main investor. This financing brings the company's cumulative financing to about 2 billion yen (about 13.56 million US dollars). The funds raised will be used to strengthen the marketing of the company's "Captain Tsubasa-RIVALS-" Mini Dapps, a Web3 game based on the comic adaptation of "Captain Tsubasa", and to use its exclusive token "JOHN" to carry out strategic initiatives. The company plans to list the token on the exchange in the second quarter of 2025.

According to the conclusion, "Captain Tsubasa-RIVALS-" is a Web3 game that has been continuously provided since 2023. The Telegram version was launched in September 2024, and the LINE version was launched in January 2025. The Telegram version has attracted about 8 million users, and the LINE version has attracted 1.4 million users.
