Tyler Winklevoss expresses serious concerns about Trump's nomination of Brian Quintenz for CFTC chairman

PANews reported on August 1st that according to The Block, Gemini co-founder Tyler Winklevoss expressed "serious concerns" about former US President Trump's nomination of Brian Quintenz as Chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Winklevoss pointed out that Quintenz, as the global policy director of a16z and a member of the Kalshi board of directors, has a conflict of interest and questioned his ability to lead the CFTC. Recent leaks of emails indicate that Quintenz may have attempted to obtain non-public information related to Kalshi's competitors within the CFTC. The White House has asked the Senate Agriculture Committee to postpone its vote on his nomination, and the industry has expressed concerns about his policy stance, interests, and attitude towards the cryptocurrency industry.
