Czech Central Bank Governor: Bitcoin should not be confused with cryptocurrencies

PANews reported on February 19 that according to CoinDesk, Czech Central Bank Governor Ales Michl said that Bitcoin is significantly different from other crypto assets and should not be confused with cryptocurrencies. His remarks were made after the recent memecoin scam, aiming to clarify the reputation of Bitcoin and emphasize its uniqueness.

Michl had previously proposed that the Czech National Bank include alternative assets such as Bitcoin in its balance sheet. The proposal has now been approved by the bank's board of directors and has entered the preliminary analysis stage. Michl believes that studying Bitcoin and its underlying technology will help enhance the central bank's capabilities and will not have a negative impact.
