Chinese Academy of Sciences launches research and development of next-generation open-source chips and systems.

PANews reported on March 26 that, according to Xinhua News Agency, at the Zhongguancun Forum Annual Meeting—RISC-V Ecosystem Technology Forum, the Chinese Academy of Sciences officially announced a series of important achievements in the fields of RISC-V key technology breakthroughs, industrial collaborative innovation, and talent cultivation. The Academy released two major achievements: the "Xiangshan" open-source processor and the "Ruyi" native operating system, and officially launched joint research and development work on the next generation of chips and operating systems.
