PANews reported on April 2nd that ZachXBT, known as the "chain detective," published an article on the X platform stating that after Drift Protocol suffered a "nine-figure" loss in an attack, the hackers transferred a large amount of USDC from Solana to Ethereum via CCTP during US trading hours, a process that lasted for several hours. Circle did not take effective intervention measures. ZachXBT also pointed out that Circle had previously frozen more than 16 business hot wallets, but the handling was criticized as unprofessional; these wallets are currently being gradually unfrozen.
ZachXBT questions Circle's slow risk control: Large-scale USDC cross-chain transfers during the Drift attack went uninterrupted.
