Musk claims OpenAI is his own creation, while current CEO Altman is a "thief."

PANews reported on April 29th that, according to Cailian Press, the trial between Elon Musk and OpenAI co-founder and current CEO Sam Altman began on Monday. During his testimony on Tuesday (April 28th), Musk described his lawsuit against OpenAI as a defense of his charitable donations. It is understood that in this lawsuit, Musk accuses Altman and co-founder and president Greg Brockman of abandoning OpenAI's original non-profit mission of benefiting humanity, turning the non-profit organization into a profit-driven giant. He also demands that OpenAI restore its non-profit status and remove Altman and other executives from their positions.

Musk also described OpenAI as his own creation and claimed that Altman was a "thief." "The idea, the name, I came up with it. I recruited the key people, taught them everything I knew, and provided all the seed funding," Musk said. "It was originally intended for philanthropy, so that no individual would profit from it. I could have made it a for-profit company, but I deliberately didn't."
