Federal Reserve's Williams: There is no need to start considering interest rate hikes at present.

PANews reported on May 5 that, according to Cailian Press, Federal Reserve Chairman Williams stated that there is currently no need to start considering raising interest rates, and the Fed's tendency towards easing mainly reflects possible long-term policy trends.

Williams stated that the long-term outlook still suggests the Federal Reserve will eventually cut interest rates, and expressed "great satisfaction" with the current policy wording of the interest rate decision committee.
