Galaxy: Seven Democratic senators may be key to pushing forward the US CLARITY bill.

PANews reported on May 11th, citing Cointelegraph, that Galaxy Digital stated seven Democratic senators on the Senate Banking Committee could be key to passing the CLARITY bill. The bill will be considered on Thursday and, if it passes the committee, will be submitted to the Senate for a vote. In its post on the X platform, Galaxy Digital categorized Ruben Gallego and Angela Alsobrooks as "active supporters of the bill's framework," and Mark Warner, Catherine Cortez Masto, Andy Kim, and Raphael Warnock as "conditional supporters," who previously supported the GENIUS bill but now want stronger safeguards such as anti-money laundering measures. Lisa Blunt Rochester is considered a "swing vote," supporting the crypto framework but having voted against the GENIUS bill.

Jack Reed, Elizabeth Warren, Tina Smith, and Chris Van Hollen are expected to vote against it. The CLARITY bill requires the support of at least half of the 24 members of the Senate Banking Committee, and then at least 60 votes in the Senate. The CLARITY bill was introduced in July 2025 but stalled in January of this year after Coinbase withdrew its support.
