Minnesota has signed a bill allowing banks to offer cryptocurrency custody services.

PANews reported on May 18 that a newly signed bill by the Minnesota state government allows local banks and credit unions to legally offer custody services for crypto assets such as Bitcoin. The bill aims to provide a clear regulatory framework for state financial institutions' involvement in digital asset business and expand the reach of traditional financial services to cryptocurrencies.
