PANews reported on June 12th that, according to Protos, DeFiLlama data shows that XRP Ledger's on-chain transaction fees were less than $400 on Wednesday, with approximately 327 XRP burned during the period. Its transaction fee revenue over the past week was approximately $3,100, and over the past month it was approximately $16,000. In comparison, Bitcoin's transaction fees yesterday were $183,000, Ethereum's were over $323,000, Solana's were approximately $358,000, and Tron's were over $1 million. XRP's total transaction fees over the past 12 months are less than Tron's daily revenue.
XRPL charges a base fee of 0.00001 XRP per transaction. Even with over a million transactions processed daily, only about 10 XRP are burned daily. This fee is primarily used to prevent spam transactions, not to pay validators. XRPL daily fees decreased by approximately 89% throughout 2025, and active addresses decreased by 80% in the first half of 2025.
