PANews reported on June 12 that SpaceX (SPCX) is expected to produce its first official trading price between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM ET (11:00 PM to 1:00 AM Beijing time). Since the initial price needs to be determined by the underwriting syndicate and the exchange based on the supply and demand in the order book, the opening time may be delayed multiple times if there is an imbalance between buy and sell orders or significant fluctuations in the indicative price. Market analysts point out that this is common in large, high-profile IPOs, aiming to improve price discovery and liquidity quality. Historically, popular IPOs such as Facebook, Snowflake, and Arm have all seen their first trades completed at noon or even in the afternoon. The current SpaceX IPO price is $135, with the latest off-exchange indicative price around $170-$175.
The initial transaction price for SpaceX's IPO may be delayed until midday Eastern Time.
