PANews reported on June 16 that Mike Selig, Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), reiterated that the CFTC will review crypto perpetual contracts on a "single asset" basis. This position was already established in a previous advisory issued by CFTC staff regarding 24/7 uninterrupted trading, and regulators will use this framework to assess the compliance of perpetual products with different underlying assets.
The US CFTC reiterated that it will review perpetual contract assets on a case-by-case basis.
