PANews, June 19 – According to Decrypt, Amazon has temporarily pulled the film *Artificial*, which focuses on the brief ouster of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman in 2023, and is now seeking other studios to distribute the nearly completed project. Directed by Luca Guadagnino, the film stars Andrew Garfield as Altman and Yura Borisov as OpenAI co-founder Ilya Sutskever, with a screenplay by Simon Rich. Sources cited in the report said the finished film is "significantly darker" than the original pitch and portrays Altman in a relatively negative light. Amazon recently invested approximately $50 billion in OpenAI, and CAA is currently screening the film for potential new distributors.
