PANews, June 21 — According to Jinshi reports, index provider MSCI assigned its lowest Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) rating of "CCC" to SpaceX ahead of the company's record-breaking $75 billion public offering this month. According to MSCI, this places SpaceX "lagging behind the industry due to its high risk exposure and failure to manage significant ESG risks." Frédéric Ducoulombier, program director at EDHEC Business School's Climate Institute, said: "The company's poor controversy assessment, extremely poor governance assessment, and low overall ESG rating should come as no surprise to anyone. For public market investors, this is very close to a governance-level horror story."
