PANews, June 22 – According to 9to5Mac, the Apple Wallet digital ID feature launched by Apple on iPhone may be used by Anthropic in the future for nationality and identity verification of the Claude model. Previously, due to new export controls imposed by the U.S. government and the discovery of jailbreak risks in Fable 5 and Mythos 5, both models have been shut down for all foreign users. The report indicates that if Anthropic can verify access is limited to U.S. citizens, the relevant models may be restored to service. Given that Anthropic has previously integrated Apple’s age verification API, outside observers speculate that in emergency compliance scenarios, it may prioritize using Apple Wallet digital IDs over third-party identity verification services.
