Ripple Stablecoin RLUSD Launched in Japan and Approved by Japan's Financial Services Agency

PANews June 25 news, according to official sources, Ripple and SBI Holdings announced that the RLUSD stablecoin has officially launched in Japan and received approval from Japan’s Financial Services Agency, becoming available to institutional and retail users through SBI VC Trade’s VCTRADE platform. RLUSD is classified as a new type of electronic payment instrument under Japan’s Payment Services Act, specifically designed to meet the security and regulatory standards for foreign-issued stablecoins. Ripple’s Senior Vice President of Stablecoins, Jack McDonald, stated that this launch is an important step in expanding access to regulated US dollar stablecoins for Japanese financial institutions and enterprises, and that RLUSD will serve as a bridge for payments, tokenization, and collateral management.
