IBM Unveils World's First Sub-1nm Chip Technology

PANews June 25 news, IBM announced a breakthrough in sub-1nm chip process, using a new nanosheet stacking architecture. Compared to its IBM 2nm process chips, the new design can improve performance by up to 50% and reduce energy consumption by about 70%. IBM stated that this sub-1nm node technology is expected to achieve mass production within the next five years, further driving computing power upgrades in AI, high-performance computing, and mobile devices.
