PANews June 26 news, according to Reuters, Carlos San Basilio, chairman of Spain's market regulator CNMV, said that no extensions or exemptions will be granted to crypto companies that fail to obtain a license during the EU's MiCA transitional period. Relevant platforms must complete their licensing or orderly exit from the EU market before the end of June. The CNMV is in communication with platforms that have not yet been approved (including major exchanges such as Binance), focusing on supervising their compliance and investor protection during the transfer of client assets and funds to other service providers. San Basilio stressed that users of unauthorized platforms will be prohibited from initiating new transactions and will not benefit from investor protection under the MiCA framework.
