PANews reported on January 6th that, according to Cointelegraph, Bitcoin ATM operator Bitcoin Depot has agreed to pay $1.9 million to the state of Maine to compensate for losses incurred from cryptocurrency self-service terminal scams between 2022 and 2025. Victims must file their claims by April 1, 2026.
