PANews reported on January 2nd that, according to CME's "FedWatch," the probability of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates by 25 basis points in January is 14.9%, while the probability of keeping rates unchanged is 85.1%. By March, the probability of a cumulative 25 basis point rate cut is 51.2%, the probability of keeping rates unchanged is 42.8%, and the probability of a cumulative 50 basis point rate cut is 5.9%.
The probability of the Federal Reserve keeping interest rates unchanged in January is 85.1%.
