SEC Chairman says crypto market structure bill expected to be submitted to Trump for signature this year

PANews reported on January 13 that SEC Chairman Paul Atkins, in an interview with Fox Business, expressed confidence that the Crypto Markets Structure Act will be sent to President Trump for signature this year. This bill is seen as a key step in providing regulatory clarity for the U.S. crypto industry, following the GENIUS Act passed in 2025. Although the Senate Agriculture Committee postponed final consideration until the end of January, the SEC chairman stated that the bill will help achieve the president's goal of "making America the crypto capital."
