California appeals Trump administration tariff violation lawsuit

PANews reported on June 5 that California Attorney General Rob Bonta issued a statement on the 2nd local time saying that he had appealed the latest ruling of the Northern District of California Federal District Court on California's case against the Trump administration's tariff policy violations. California previously filed a lawsuit in the Northern District of California Federal District Court on April 16 in the name of the state government and Governor Gavin Newsom, accusing the federal government of violating the so-called "reciprocal tariff" policy implemented in accordance with the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, and claiming that this move harmed the broad interests of states, consumers and businesses. California is also the first state to sue the Trump administration over tariffs. The Northern District of California Federal District Court dismissed the California government's lawsuit on the 2nd. Bonta immediately issued a statement saying that the California government plans to immediately appeal to the United States Federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. The California government's move is intended to determine the Northern District of California Federal District Court's jurisdiction over this lawsuit through the ruling of the appellate court.
