Oracle's $10 billion Michigan data center project stalled

PANews reported on December 17th that, according to the Financial Times, Oracle's largest data center partner, Blue Owl Capital, will not fund Oracle's next $10 billion data center project, as the software giant faces growing debt and concerns about artificial intelligence spending. Blue Owl had previously been in talks with lenders and Oracle to invest in a 1-gigawatt data center in Salin, Michigan, planned to serve OpenAI. However, according to three sources familiar with the matter, the agreement will not proceed due to a stalemate in negotiations.
