Breaking Bad actor Dean Norris’ X account was hijacked again to promote fake tokens

PANews reported on January 26 that Dean Norris, the actor who played Hank Schrader in Breaking Bad, was the target of the X platform hacker attack for the second time in six months, according to DL News. The attack began with a tweet on Norris' account, saying that he had decided to launch his own cryptocurrency, Dean, and attached the contract address. The attacker even shared a doctored photo of Norris holding a notebook with the symbol and date of the token scribbled on it. Within hours, the market value of the Meme coin climbed to $7 million, but after Norris confirmed the scam, its market value plummeted by 90%.

Norris restored his account and posted a video about the hack, admitting that his delayed response was due to his infrequent use of the X platform, adding: “I didn’t know I was hacked until I started receiving text messages from friends.” Last September, his X account posted news about the fake SHRADER token on the TRON chain.
