PANews reported on December 30th that, according to the BNB Chain blog, BNB Chain released its 2026 technology roadmap. By 2025 , it aims to achieve zero downtime, block time reduced to 0.45 seconds, finalization time to 1.125 seconds, daily gas consumption up to 5 trillion, and Gas cost reduced from 1 gwei to 0.05 gwei , with a 95% reduction in malicious MEVs . In 2026 , it will promote the parallel development of dual clients ( Geth for stability, Reth for high performance), introduce AOT/JIT and parallel execution (including EIP-7928 BAL ), optimize storage and TrieDB , and aim to achieve approximately 20,000 TPS and lower fees. In the medium to long term ( 2026–2028 ), it plans a "next-generation transaction chain," targeting approximately one million TPS and 150 millisecond confirmation, and providing optional migration and compatibility layers.
