PANews reported on February 21 that according to The block, FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried criticized the "extremely destructive" politicization of the Biden administration's judicial system in his first interview at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, and tried to seek a pardon from President Trump. He is currently serving a 25-year sentence at the center for committing one of the largest cryptocurrency scams to date. Bankman-Fried reiterated FTX's claim that it is solvent but illiquid, and that law firm Sullivan & Cromwell mishandled the bankruptcy proceedings.
