OpenAI reportedly plans to launch its IPO in the fourth quarter of 2026.

PANews reported on January 30th that, according to Jiemian News, OpenAI reportedly plans to launch its initial public offering (IPO) in the fourth quarter of 2026, racing against rival Anthropic to go public. The company has already held informal discussions with several Wall Street investment banks and has hired several key new executives to oversee IPO preparations.

Sources familiar with the matter revealed that Amazon is in talks to invest up to $50 billion in OpenAI. These sources also indicated that OpenAI is seeking to raise up to $100 billion in new funding from investors. Amazon CEO Andy Garcetti is leading the negotiations with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
